Filmmaker Gerda Cammaer commissioned Gerstyn to create a sound collage on the theme of “dust” for this found footage film.  The piece explores the death of film, equating the dust and scratches on worn filmstock to larger questions of human mortality and our place in the cosmos.  Although Gerda had much of her footage selected in advance, Gerstyn had not seen any of the material before beginning work on the collage, and the soundtrack was locked before Gerda commenced editing the images.
